Rapid Dispatch System

The Rapid Dispatch System (RDS) is a platform designed for managing orders and transportation operations within the taxi service industry.

The RDS consists of two components: An Android-based applications and a web-based application. The Android tablet app, installed in each vehicle, transmits data such as GPS location, vehicle condition, and order status changes to the back-end. Meanwhile, the web-based application is used by the back office team to receive customer orders and relay them to drivers via the tablet app.

Express Group manages over 5,000 vehicles from Sumatra to Bali, with the fleet size growing and partners nearly doubling. To address inefficiencies in data recording, we developed a system for taxi booking and trip transactions. The system broadcasts orders to the nearest drivers for timely pickups and records all transactions in real time. Using Android tablets, the system captures data both online and offline, and allows the back office to communicate field conditions to drivers via text or voice messages.
